Fundamentals of Grammar

WEDNESDAY, July 11 2012
9:00am–4:00pm
$225.00 CDN (includes course material)
If you find yourself occasionally confused by participles and gerunds, puzzled by dangling and squinting modifiers, and confounded by which and that or who and whom, this one-day workshop is for you. You will spend the morning reviewing the parts of speech, as well as phrases and clauses, punctuation, and sentence structure. The afternoon will be devoted to analyzing and correcting common errors.
Fundamentals of Grammar is an excellent follow-up to Copyediting and Proofreading (July 9-10) and a good warm-up for anyone interested in attending Usage Woes and Myths (July 12) and Clear and Concise: Guidelines for Style (July 13).
