Roberto Dosil

Roberto Dosil (rdosil@sfu.ca) is a founding partner of Stanton Atkins & Dosil, a publishing partnership focusing on Canadian history. He has over 40 years experience as a graphic designer working for the publishing industry.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Roberto graduated from the polytechnic Escuelas Tecnicas Municipales Raggio with a Diploma in Graphic Design and received a Bachelor in Journalism from the Instituto Superior Mariano Moreno.

He immigrated to Europe in 1969. Over a period of nine years in Spain he designed and produced books for publishing houses in Barcelona and Madrid. His work has been published in North America, Europe and Asia, and exhibited in museums as far a field as Israel and the Czech Republic. Roberto immigrated to Canada in 1978 and in 1999 he completed the Master of Publishing program at Simon Fraser University. Before joining SFU he was chair of the Graphic Design program at Kwantlen University College, and a sessional instructor at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design.
